I’ve changed all my porn sites around so many times, it’s hard to keep track of different versions over the years, including Vintage Bareback. I just discovered a couple photos that used to be part of the “About This Site” page of an earlier version of this site. Though he’s kinda clean cut by today’s standards, he would be considered a rebel back when this was shot, somewhere in the 1960s. He has longish hair, long sideburns, a tattoo (shocking!) and a little bit of scruff on his chin. It wasn’t considered sexy to have 5 days of beard until Don Johnson started the trend in the late 80s on Miami Vice, so he was just a bad boy. But we love bad boys…
For some reason, I don’t see much vintage gay porn from the 1960s. The vast majority of my collection of old porn magazines and movies are from the 1970s and the magazines from the 1950s are pretty obviously from that era. Perhaps I mistakenly label a lot of the porn material produced in the 60s as coming from the 1970s. With no masthead or copyright information printed in them, I’m operating blindly, so it’s just a guessing game.
“True Confessions” is a magazine I scanned and added to the VIP Room today, and it’s clearly from the 1960s. I’m not sure how I know, but I just know. If we’re talking about True Confessions, I guess I have to confess that I was around in the 60s, so I know what clothing and hair styles looked like at that time. Plus, the Instagram / Hipstagram look and feel of the photography are another indication. On the front a back cover were printed in color, the rest was in glorious black and white.
There are several little scenes in this magazine and the guy shown on the cover come from the jail scene.
